Terms of Service
The rules of the road for working with TruScout Sports Group.
Last updated: May 16, 2026
1. Service description
TruScout Sports Group ("TruScout", "we") provides basketball recruiting, evaluation, exposure, and consulting services to athletes and families. Our services include athlete evaluation, profile and highlight reel direction, targeted coach outreach, recruiting strategy, and ongoing guidance through the recruiting process.
We do not act as an agent for compensation under any state's athlete-agent law; we provide consulting and recruiting services and do not negotiate professional contracts.
2. No guarantee of outcomes
We do not guarantee any specific recruiting outcome, including offers, scholarships, roster spots, playing time, or admission to any institution. Recruiting outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including athletic performance, academics, program needs, and timing.
3. Fees and refunds
Service fees are quoted during onboarding and confirmed in writing before any engagement begins. Recurring engagements renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.
If we determine within the first 14 days of a new engagement that we are not the right fit for an athlete, we will issue a full refund. Beyond that window, refund requests are handled case-by-case.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your account credentials confidential, and to use the service only in compliance with NCAA, NAIA, and applicable state and federal rules.
Submitting false information, impersonating another athlete, or attempting to misuse our services may result in termination without refund.
5. Intellectual property
All content on this site — including written materials, designs, brand assets, and software — is owned by TruScout Sports Group or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
Athletes retain ownership of their personal materials (game film, photos) and grant TruScout a limited license to use those materials for the purpose of providing the service.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TruScout's total liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active clients. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
